Stamford, CT – February 16, 2012 – American Halal Company, Inc’s Saffron Road™ brand will be exhibiting at the upcoming Natural Products Expo West by New Hope Natural Media. This is the largest Natural food trade conference, with over 58,000 attendees and more than 3,000 exhibitors. At the show Saffron Road will showcase its new line of all natural, Halal certified vegetarian cuisine to the natural products industry in Anaheim, California from March 9th to 11th.

Saffron Road’s four new products feature unique world cuisine with a vegetarian twist: Manchurian Dumplings, Macaroni & Cheese, Thai Basil Chili Tofu and Three Cheese Lasagna.

“We are excited to once again rapidly respond to our growing consumer base’s desire for more vegetarian and vegan options, as well as step up the quality of vegetarian ethnic options in frozen food aisles,” says Saffron Road’s CEO, Adnan Durrani.

A testament to the brand’s foresight into the needs of the marketplace, Saffron Road continues to tap into the “world on a plate” trend (as recently forecasted by Baum + Whiteman for food trends to expect in 2012) by creating products that appeal to America’s growing multicultural tastes.

“Just one year ago at the last Expo West we had only our four Indian Entrees; we now have 19 products and counting. We understand more premium, all natural, global cuisine is needed in the marketplace due to the constantly evolving tastes of consumers and we’re happy to yet again meet the needs of a variety of consumers,” says Saffron Road’s Executive Vice President, Jack Acree.

Whole Foods Market® has already slotted all four of Saffron Road’s new items nationwide, making this Saffron Road’s sixth national product rollout in Whole Foods Market stores and the brand expects many others to follow as more retailers are seeking to meet the increasing demand for all natural vegetarian options with epicurean flavors from around the globe. Each item will be available for the suggested retail price of $5.49 to $5.69.
