Saffron Road on Track to be in Over 6,000 Stores in 2012
Publix, Kroger, and Sprouts Score Major Wins for Saffron Road
May 31, 2012- Stamford, CT- Saffron Road has been aggressively expanding its distribution to include several mainstream supermarket chains plus countless independent natural food retailers, and projects it will be sold in over 6,000 retail stores by year end.
In the fourth quarter of 2011, Saffron Road scored a major win by gaining national distribution in over 900 stores of Kroger, which is the largest US grocery store chain with over $77billion in annual sales. On the heels of this spectacular success, Saffron Road announced today that it also just secured 1,200 stores in the formidable Publix Supermarket chain. Publix is the largest chain in Florida, where it dominates consumer grocery purchases, and is ranked #7 nationally with over $24billion in sales.
An expanded retail presence in 2012 could potentially add up to 20 additional retail and supermarket chains, placing Saffron Road on par with many well established natural food brands.
Adnan Durrani, CEO of Saffron Road, commented by saying, “The most successful natural food brands are actually built in the mainstream supermarket retailers. Our sales team has been very methodical at cherry picking the elite tier of top supermarket chains to sell into and our patience and diligence is now going to reap huge rewards. We are very proud of our success at securing the Kroger and Publix supermarket chains and look forward to continued gains in Saffron Road’s national store distribution.”
Jack Acree, EVP of Saffron Road, also stated, “Saffron Road is now carried by three of the most respected retailers nationwide. This validation and the ensuing syndicated data will prove invaluable in securing future distribution in 2nd tier retailers.”
