Saffron Road Debuts Four NEW Simmer Sauces at Fancy Food Show on June 17th
Stamford, CT – June 5, 2012 – American Halal Company, Inc. is pleased to announce that its Saffron Road brand will be exhibiting at the upcoming Summer Fancy Food Show by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT). Saffron Road will unveil its four new World Cuisine Simmer Sauces to the trade food industry for the first time in Washington, D.C. from June 16-19th.
Saffron Road’s new products include: Moroccan Tagine, Lemongrass Basil, Rogan Josh, and Tikka Masala. All four sauces are currently sold nationwide at Whole Foods Market® and are available for the suggested retail price range of $2.99 – $3.29.
“We believe this new line is perfect for retailers catering to gourmet ethnic food lovers who desire authentic meals, but are looking for quick and easy solutions,” says Adnan Durrani, Chief Executive Officer.
Given Saffron Road’s commitment to eco-friendly practices, these sauces’ come in single-use pouches that are easier to ship, save on fuel and reduce the company’s carbon footprint by 50%. The pouches deliver enough for one use of sauce, eliminated the waste of half used jars in the refrigerator that are never used and ultimately get thrown out. Saffron Road’s single use pouch will drive increased sales in the sauce category. Moreover, given that 75% of glass jars are not recycled, as well as the losses retailers incur from broken jars in supermarket aisles, these high-end pouches provide compelling benefits for the environment as well as for retailers.
